Official Launch 11/02/2012

On Friday 3rd Feb we had a V.I.P preview of the new BMW 3 Series, over the course of the evening we had over 50 guests get a sneak preview of this stunning car whih will be officially launched on Feb 11th.
With over 13 million BMW 3 Series vehicles sold since its first introduction this 6th generation 3 series had once again reinvented what has often been considered the best in its class.

BMW Winter Tyres
WINTER TYRES – A NECESSARY EXPENSE ? ? ? ?
This year many people are wondering about winter tyres and asking the question are they worth the expense ?
Winter tyres are an additional expense that Irish drivers have never had reason to invest in, however due to the previous two winters many are at least considering their merit.
Below find some additional info which might be of interest and might help.
*Note
Winter tyres need their own set of rims,you swap your regular tyres for winter tyres when the temperature drops and swap them back when it rises.
When temperatures drop below 7°C, summer tyres no longer provide optimum grip and performance since the blending of their rubber / silica compound hardens at lower temperatures. This impacts negatively on dynamic driving factors, such as acceleration, braking and handling. The solution is switching to winter tyres when temperatures drop below 7°C as they are made from a different rubber / silica compound and retain their flexibility and performance during the colder weather.
Complete winter wheel and tyre sets are available from as low as €828 on a BMW 1 or 3 Series and your BMW Dealer or BMW Service Authorised workshop will store your summer tyres until the weather gets better.**
Not only can winter tyres help you to increase driving safety in the winter months, there is a potential cost benefit too. The new BMW and MINI winter wheels and tyres can result in as much as 40 per cent* better wear characteristics than summer tyres when the outside temperature is below 7°C – meaning the tyres will last a lot longer.

This is a promo video that we put togeather when we were celebrating our 40th year in business (est 1965).
From humble beginnings, which are photographically depicted on our showroom
walls N. Conlan & Sons was built up through sheer hard work, determination,
and a focus on providing the best possible service with integrity and honesty.
In 1965 an entrepreneurial native of Rathangan and a local motor mechanic –
Nicholas Conlan, decided to go it alone and establish his own family run
business. To begin with Nicholas decided to buy the local garage and began what
was later to become a thriving business.
Raymond took over the business
in 1981 and following in his father’s footsteps his commitment to and passion
for the motor trade expanded the company in every possible way. Raymond drove
the length and breadth of Ireland to meet customers who at stage couldn’t make
the trip to Kildare. Consequently the company’s customer base extends across 26
counties.
A major revamp of the garage was initiated in the 1990’s which
marked the 25th anniversary of the company. Since then, the company
has continuously expanded adding various facilities as demand arose, to help
further our own expectations of want our customers need and desire. Raymond took
on the BMW franchise in 1998 and this was a magnificent milestone for the
company. The new state of the art showrooms were opened in October 2003, and are
truly impressive. In fact N. Conlan & Sons would be seen as BMW’s Flagship
garage in Ireland.
A distinctive personal touch remains at N. Conlan
& Sons which unfortunately has become rarer amongst others in our market who
lose track in the course of expansion. This consultative approach allows us to
communicate fully with our customers and to help put them at ease, for as we
know from experience the purchasing of a car is a significant decision and can
often be stressful if not assisted properly.

ethos behind this business is in the provision of quality service, testament to
this fact N. Conlan & Sons has been voted “Dealer of the year for customer
service” for three consecutive years
